Offline Subtitles
Once the media is local, Caption shifts from live understanding to production.
Typical offline workflow
- Import a local audio or video file.
- Generate subtitles offline.
- Review text and timing.
- Export subtitle files or burn them into the final media.
Why this matters
The goal is not only accuracy. The goal is continuity.
If subtitle generation, revision, and export are spread across different tools, you lose time to repeated import and export work, file mismatch, and version confusion.
Best use cases
- Course delivery
- Internal training videos
- Podcast or interview cleanup
- Long-form media you need to archive and search later
Output expectation
A good offline pass should leave you with:
- a subtitle artifact you can keep,
- a revised version you can publish,
- and a session or history record you can reopen later.
