Timecode Search
Timecode search is the difference between “I know it was mentioned somewhere” and “I can open the exact moment again.”
What it solves
After a long meeting, interview, or media review, memory is usually fuzzy in two ways:
- you remember the phrase, but not when it happened;
- you remember the topic, but not which session it came from.
Timecode search helps close both gaps.
Best moments to use it
- Pulling a quote from a long meeting
- Reopening the exact moment before revising subtitles
- Jumping from a topic to the media position where it occurred
Practical rule
If the content may be reused later, make sure the session leaves enough searchable structure behind.
Timecode search is not a decorative feature. It is what turns a subtitle workflow into a reusable archive.
